Kristen Ley & Thimblepress

Not only is she super nice, Kristen Ley is super talented.

I first met her at a photo shoot for Portico Magazine.

Her dog Willow is presh.

A little about Kristen and her business...

"In 2011, curiosity got the best of Kristen and she purchased a 1925 10 x 15 Chandler + Price from Lexington, KY and hauled it all the way back to Mississippi on tiny trailer with just one other person as her letterpress-moving sidekick. With the press acquired she decided to open up Thimblepress. The name was derived from her childhood, now continued on to adulthood, collection of thimbles from her travels. Every time she traveled to a new state she got a thimble to mark her visit. A few of them have broken from moving different places, but she still keeps her collection right in her office.
Not only is Thimblepress a letterpress studio, it is an art studio, sewing studio, design studio, woodworking studio, and basically anything creative that Kristen wants to try her hand at next. With the love of handmade, art, color and pattern, Kristen hopes to make Thimblepress a reflection of her life, love of her family, and her favorite places in the world; one of them being Mississippi."

Here are some of my faves from Kristen's work:

Her state flower prints are probably my favorite at the moment.

Wouldn't it be cool to have two, one from your home state and one from your boo's home state?

What if you put it them a nursery? On a wall above the crib? Mommy and Daddy's home states?

Or what if you got three, one for the state you met, one for the state your married, and one for where you live?

LOVE.

The notepads are so cute. Great little Christmas gift!

You will definitely leave an impression with these dip-dyed thank you cards.
I love a good thank you note. Thanks Mom for passing down that trait.

She even makes fabulous tea towels and tank tops!

I told you she was talented.

I would remember the names Kristen Ley and Thimblepress.

And get used to them...

This girl is going places.

Visit her website here and her Etsy site here

Enjoy! I know I do!
