First Outfit Post

Tank - Target
Skirt - Forever21 (similar style)
Necklace - Accessory Auctions on Facebook
Shoes -  Tory Burch
Bag - Chanel
Shades -  Fake Prada
Earrings -  Mikimoto

This was not a planned "Outfit Post." I just felt good wearing this outfit in Oxford last Friday.

So....I just asked Cam to snap a few pics on my iPhone.

Please excuse my white strapless bra. I recently went to Victoria's Secret and was told that I was WAY, WAY OFF on what size I should be wearing.

Of course, they only had one bra in my "new" size and it was white. Boo.

Little Island

If you are one of my Jackson or Ole Miss readers, we went to Amelia Island.

If you are one of my South Georgia readers, we went to Fernandina.

Same place. Different name.

We left Atlanta on Sunday and headed to the beach!

We made a stop at Piedmont Park to run the dogs.

Our little Rosebud had too much fun.
Common theme on our trips.

Home sweet home at the Beach House.

Took the pups on a beach walk. Gus loves to swim. Rosie ran from the water.

At dinner at Sandy Bottom's the 2nd night.
Great view.

Got to eat my fave sandwich on the island, Wild Turkey.
Turkey, Cream Cheese and Jalepenos with melted Cheddar Cheese :)

The chef keeps leaving restaurants and going to new ones. Since he takes his recipes with him, I just follow him wherever he goes.

Our anniversary!

We spent our 2nd anniversary laying on the beach, reading, taking beach walks, and spending time at The Surf.
We ended the day by taking the pups to the far North and South ends of the island where there are basically no people.
It was simple and perfect.
We planned on getting pizza to-go from one of our fave places but it was closed so had Firehouse subs.
So romantic.

Cam flew back on Wednesday.
My mom and cousin came down on Thursday night to have a little middle school makeover for her! So fun!

Friday, we hung out on the beach and had a late lunch at Timoti's.
Amazing grilled shrimp tacos!

Playground at Timoti's
This will be in my backyard one day.

Couldn't end a trip to Fernandina without a little Fantastic Fudge!
Check out that line...
They made the fudge that we gave in the gift boxes for our wedding guests. love!

Great pic of my parents and I at the marina.

I didn't get back to Jackson until Monday evening.

Great, great, great trip!

ready to go back to Fernandina already...

can't tell you how many times Cam asked if I would be able to give up everything in Jackson to move down there and be waiters and rent a one bedroom place and just live simply...

I told him I'm down whenever!

Atlanta Street Food Festival

We woke up Saturday morning and decided that we really didn't NEED anything from Market.

My dad read about the Atlanta Street Food Festival in Piedmont Park being held that day so we decided to hit that up.

Perfection.

First things first. Had to snag a couple Sweetwater brew to get things started off right.

There were probably 10-15 food trucks with all types of cuisines.

Honeysuckle Southern Inspired Gelato was my definite favorite.

I decided on the Sea Salted Caramel Gelato.

It was amazing.

Sweet, light but creamy with a hint of salt.

YUMMMMMMM.

I liked this food truck so much that I looked up their website to see if they had franchise options.

I really wanted to try the King of Pop's truck but the line was so long!!!

We ended our time at the festival with an impromptu parade by Baton Bob.

This dude/lady started blowing his/her whistle and let me tell you...

people got out of the way and cheered him/her on.

I respect anyone that commands that much attention!

Sally joined us for dinner that at Gladys Knight and Ron Winan's Chicken and Waffles.

They don't take reservations so we had about an hour long wait on the street in downtown Atlanta.
It went by pretty quickly because we were so distracted by the insanely expensive cars driving buy.

We ended the night with a walk to Centennial Park to find the bricks my mom purchased us for the 1996 Olympics. She bought them way before the Olympics and this is the first time we ever actually looked for them. It was sweet and fun. My mom was thrilled!

Although we didn't make it to Market which was the point of this trip, I had the BEST time in Atlanta.

Besides, there will always be more Markets.

Big City

On the road again...

Looking hard at the Hard Rock.
Yes. We went to the Hard Rock in Atlanta.
In our defense, it was next door and we were starving.

So yeah...this trip to Atlanta was focused on going to Market.

We never made it.

We have way too much fun with my parents to be trapped in a building all day.

Or maybe it was because we stayed out until 2 the first night in Atlanta.

If you are ever in the Virginia Highlands, check out the Highland Tap. It's a place my parents used to go to when they were younger. Great Blood Mary's and burgers. It also has the largest selection of music on a jukebox that I have ever seen. 73 String Cheese Songs.

So after acting like college freshman with my parents the first night, we needed some serious grease to get all of us feeling alive again.

We went to Vortex in Little Five Points. Obsessed.

Entrance.

Tater Tot Nachos?

Can I get an Amen?

This place was odd but awesome. The waiters are funky and really personable.
The food is absolutely amazing!
It def did the trick for us!
BTW Must be 18 to enter the restaurant.

THEIR jukebox was like a giant iPhone built into the wall.
My dad thought it was an ATM.
Love you Dad! :)

Later that evening, we went to the Braves game.
It was Cam's first time so it was really fun!

My sister Sally and her super cute friend Betsy joined us.

11 rows up. GREAT view!
He's still got it...

Chipper was the game MVP and hit a home-run.
Most likely the last time I will ever see him play. Thanks Chipper!
To the little girl with the "Chipper, I named my cat after you" sign.
That was SO fifteen years ago!
:)

That's all for today but I will be posting the rest of my Atlanta pics and Amelia Island/Fernandina pics later this week.

Enjoy!

2nd Anniversary

Two years ago today I married the love of my life and my best friend. I love you Cameron. Thanks for putting up with me :)
